Stefan Lindegaard, describes himself as “an author, speaker, strategic advisor on open innovation, innovation management / culture and the people side of innovation“.  He recently published an alternative view as to who were the top 8 most innovative companies in the world on LinkedIn and invited comments.  What is different about Lindegaard’s view is that he has chosen a fairly random and eclectic group of companies based on what they do today, rather than their track record in the past.

Some we would expect to be on such a list, for example Uber. Describing them as a ‘shared-economy’ company that might inspire not only other similar companies but an entire industry.  Some we might not expect to be on the list for example General Electric.  what ever your take, the article is worth reading and worth commenting on.
